WSPD's Wilson Denies Existence Of Frantz
Left: A man not named Frantz interviews a guest
(Toledo, OH) Embattled program director Brian Wilson publicly denied rumors that a radio personality named Bob Frantz ever worked there.
"Let's see...Frantz, Frantz....nope, the name doesn't ring a bell," he said, checking a list of Clear Channel employees. "Are you sure that you have the right station?"
Wilson said that the station has been inundated with emails and phone calls from listeners.
"It's the craziest thing," he said. "It's like the entire community ate a bunch of 'shrooms or something. There can be no other explanation for this mass delusion."
The problem, Wilson believes, revolved around some recent personnel changes at WSPD.
"I think that people have been very focused on France, the country, what with the French ditching us in the whole Iraq war and the recent riots over there," he said. "Let's just leave it at that, since there is obviously no one here by that name. Say, have I told you about my bass boat yet?"

Is that dead Beach Boy fellow still in town?
I thought that any competent program director would have fired him after the first day.
Oh, I see…
Well, THAT explains things...

Frantz? Oh, the guy who gave a certain group of people the 'news.'
Gosh, just think of it: thousands of AM listeners without anybody to pre-digest the 'news' for them.
What's a bobblehead to do???

liberal dem,
"What's a bobblehead to do???"
Don't belittle yourself like that, you've contributed several times in a positive way ;-)
BFrantz had a different style of news delivery that got people thinking, whether you agreed with him or not.
I've had to take up drinking coffee to keep awake since Bob got pulled.
Fred is nice enough, even with his little quirks, but I don't think he'll ever keep the morning slot at #3 in a 24 station market...

Bob Frantz, in my opinion, is the only vice of reason in the Toledo media. He holds the local politicians accountable (to the public) for their bonehead decisions. Case in point, the Edison Steam Plant giveaway last spring. Bob asks the tough questions that the local politicians and the Blade don't want anyone to ask (or even think about, for that manner).
